This program is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to assume the role and responsibilities of a Fire Safety Adviser. (*High Occupancy Building - 30 or more employees, a Class 2 or 3 building that is more than 25m in height, a Class 4 building and an at risk licensed premises as nominated by the Commissioner). TrainersThe trainers delivering this course are experienced workplace health and safety professionals with practical experience in industry. Course Objectives
CertificationThis is nationally accredited training and successful participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment. AssessmentThe range of assessment methods include: Assessment workbooks for each unit, containing a series of short answer questions and group activities prepared by. WHSR02A includes a requirement for the learner to undertake a simulated health and safety inspection of a workplace. All units require learners to participate in group discussions and to answer oral questions. The Fire Safety Adviser course is both theoretical and practical in structure. Training is conducted in the classroom over a period of 3 consecutive days. Students in the Fire Safety Advisor course are required to perform practical activities throughout the duration of the course. The last half of the third day is a workplace based assignment. Fire Safety Adviser students are required to achieve competency in both written and practical assessment including a workplace project to be completed within a month of completing the theoretical component of the training.
